We provide to the community of Catlett and surrounding jurisdictions, Emergency Medical Services both BLS (Basic Life Support) and ALS( Advance Life Support), Fire Suppression, HazMat Incidents, Swift Water Rescue, ATV(All Terrain Vehicle) Search and Rescue, and more.
Board of Supervisors
The Board of Supervisors, elected by the people, serves, by law, as the governing body of the County. The Board sets goals and objectives; establishes priorities for County programs and services; establishes County legislative and administrative policies through the adoption of ordinances and resolutions; appoints the County Administrator and members of various boards and commissions; adopts the annual budget; appropriates funds; and sets tax rates.
The Fauquier County Adult Detention Centers primary purpose is to house and safely keep all prisoners remanded to the custody of the Sheriff. Also, we are responsible for the transportation of prisoners to appropriate federal, state, county and local facilities. The Fauquier County Adult Detention Center is operational 24 hours daily.
Library Mission
An informed citizenry and free access to information are fundamental to our democratic society. The Fauquier County Public Library, a basic government service, provides resources and programs that seek to inform, enrich, and entertain every member of our society.

The GOLDVEIN VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT, located in southern Fauquier County Virginia was organized in 1966. Its first piece of apparatus, a 1957 500 gallon pumper was purchased from the Remington Volunteer Fire department soon after. In its first year of service it ran just 10 fire calls. In 1990 the Department bought its first ambulance from Fairfax Volunteer Fire Department for $1.00. Since its formation the department has come a long way with the support of the community and the loyalty of its dedicated volunteers.
We are a volunteer organization that was established in 1978. We are located in Bealeton, VA and serve our local community. New volunteers are welcome.
The Remington Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department was organized in 1942 by the citizens of Remington, Virginia and the surrounding areas to protect their own community. The department has a rich history and tradition for service to local residents and businesses, and has saved countless lives and property over the decades. It also continues to play an important role in knitting the rural community of Remington together tightly.
The Mission of the Warrenton-Fauquier Airport is provide a safe and hospitable, general aviation, public use airport operated on a self-sustaining basis, to support business development and the aviation community. The Airport seeks to provide services consistent with State and Federal Guidelines, while meeting the needs of the County, its citizens, local businesses and visitors. The Airport serves as a reliever airport for Dulles and Washington International Airports.
